NHS BREAST SCREENING UNIT TO VISIT ROCHFORD DISTRICT

The Council, in partnership with the NHS, is delighted to welcome back and support the NHS Breast Screening Unit.
Residents are being urged to attend for their screening when they receive their appointment.
Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Environment, Cllr Dave Sperring, said:
“This is such a vital service. We fully support the NHS Breast Screening Unit’s efforts to deliver a comprehensive screening programme in the fight against Breast Cancer.”
“We had hoped to locate the unit in Rayleigh. However, due to technical reasons this has not been possible on this occasion, and working in partnership with the NHS, rather than delay the opportunity for residents to benefit from this service within this district, it has been agreed with the support of the NHS to locate the Unit in Hockley on this occasion.”
“I am also pleased to announce that the Council will provide the NHS space within our car park free of charge for this vital service.”
